Terms

Short, because there is not much to agree to. These terms cover using Stockwise and a Stores account. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Who we are

Stockwise is run by Little Jam Jar Ltd ("we"). Our details are on the legal page.

The site

Stockwise gives general information: prices read from eBay five times a day, verdicts computed from them, and checklists that link to official sources. We work to keep it accurate, but prices and stock change after we read them, and we do not check every listing or every seller. The listing on eBay, and the seller's own description, are what you buy on. Nothing here is advice for your circumstances.

Buying through eBay, Amazon or a food store

Any purchase is between you, the seller and eBay, under eBay's terms and buyer protection, between you and Amazon (or its seller) under Amazon's terms, or between you and the food store under its own terms. We are not the seller, do not hold stock, and cannot take returns or resolve disputes. Some links are affiliate links (disclosure); that never changes the price you pay or how a listing is scored.

Stores accounts

A Stores account is free. You must be 16 or over and give an email address you can receive mail at. We send sign-in links and the reminders you set, and nothing else. You can export or delete your account yourself at any time. We may close an account that is used to abuse the service, and we may withdraw the service with reasonable notice.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information on the site, from a purchase made on eBay or elsewhere, from a reminder that was late or did not arrive, or from the site being unavailable. We are not liable for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, or for business losses. Where we are liable to you in connection with a Stores account, our total liability is limited to £100.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the foot of this page says when; material changes to Stores are emailed to account holders first.
